I need someone to copy the images for my column thread https://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum2/HTML/088020.html over to the PFF server for me, I cannot install PIP due to restrictions on my machine here at work. Once they're copied I can update the links in the thread to the new location, thereby making that thread permanent.

Would like to get this done in the next few days.

Hey Jazz,

you can upload from www.myfiero.com without installing any software on your work computer.

The images were on a thumbdrive that's cratered, I don't have them anymore.

The images are on my website. All you have to do is link to them. They're in this web folder: http://www.tweaktech.com/fiero/tilt_column/

[edit to add: Make sure to use tweaktech.com in the link, instead of the IP address. My web server's IP address changes every so often]

Blacktree and JScott,

I think what Jazzman is after is getting the images linked to the PFF image server such that there is less chance of them becoming broken links. If something happened to myfiero.com or tweaktech.com such that they didn't exist anymore then the images in the colum rebuild thread would all become broken links.

Ok, Jazzman I think I got them all. If I ended up missing any let me know which ones and I will get it corrected.

The URL for the images is https://images.fiero.nl/pffimages3/ and all of the file names are the same except for one that I had problems with. So you should be able to edit your posts and just change the first part of the URL for the images.

The file I had problems with is "140indexmarkonstubshaft.jpg." For some reason I can't get a clean copy of it and thus PIP had a problem with it. I was able to open and resave it in another program which satisified PIP (filename 140indexmarkonstubshaft_glich.jpg) but I decided to upload it with a different filename in case someone could get a clean copy the original filename would still be available.

Have fun editing! Let me know if there is anything else needed.

In principle I agree...but little known fact is that Cliff runs MyFiero.com, so there is little chance of it going away as long as PFF is around. It's just another way he's provided to post to his server for people like Jazz.

I just submitted WebPIP to Cliff for approval. If he likes it, you should see it pop up here soon. It's a web-based uploader I designed to operate here on PFF in the same directory and manner that PIP originally did. I'll post the link as soon as it's approved.

Thanks for the info. I have always had fairly good luck with PIP and never really had a reason to use something different. It is good to know that there is another way to get images on a server linked to PFF for the PIP impared.
