anyone know of someone who does them? 5 spd getrag, are you able to get this done in the car? (I know highly unlikely) I don't have the time or tools to do much of anything on cars anymore

The axle seals are fairly easy to replace. Any shop that can install a new axle on your car can replace the seal, it can be done in the car and once the axle is out only takes a few extra minutes. Call around for a shop that specializes in replacing axles. The seal itself is common, all the Fiero axles use the same seal, manual and auto.

yup, as above, the axles seals can be dont in car. the basics: pop out axle, pry out old seal, tap in new seal.
the tricky part is removing the axle. and, that aint so bad.
the input shaft seal - this requires transmission removal. and most likely clutch replacement - because the tranny juice would wreck the clutch.

other leaky spots: VSS seal. drain plug. gap in overall transmission seam.

that is just RTV if i remember correctly, and i wouldn't suggest doing it in the car. the getrags are rather picky about the cases being split. IIRC you have to take the detent balls out first before you can split the case, and the cover for the detent stuff is in the bellhousing.

I used Wayne's Transmission in Waterford for my Getrag. Also had them replace my Bonneville Transmission. They seemed to know the Getrag well, and were very reasonable.
