So I did something kinda stupid...

I was working on my Fiero leaning over the battery and my ratchet fell out of my hands and landed over the two battery terminals!

There is a + voltage distribution block on the passenger side right next to the wire harness and battery that I saw smoke coming out of.

Now that this has happened I have lost the following electrical systems:

Floor Courtesy Lights
Battery Power for Radio
Horn
My blinkers are really fast now

Nothing else seems to be affected but those 4 issues are kinda a big deal.

Any suggestions on what may have happened? I looked around for a popped fusible link, and I have no blown fuses.

Shorting across the battery terminals should have zero effect on anything else.

But since you saw smoke from the positive junction, I would check there, examine the wires and check the two fusible links you will find within 12" of the junction.

I had to use a screw driver and knock it off of the terminals because it didn't bounce off. The ratchet is really screwed up now too... The battery still holds a charge, and the two fusible links near the distro-block are fine.

Check your battery fuse in the fuse box as well as your flasher for the 4 ways.
