I found leather Corvette seats at a deal. Does anyone have experince with seat swaps like this? Will 85 corvette seats fit my 87 fastback GT? What mods will I have to perform? Thank you --Lyall

i've put camaro seats in a fiero before, I just put the fiero sliders on the bottom of the camaro seats for an easy bolt in job. did the same thing with a set of aftermarket racing bucket seats. that required some drilling in the sliders tho to line up with the holes in the bottom of the seats.
I've seen it done but I haven't done it myself. The rails should attach ok. Too nice an opportunity not to try it IMHO. I made BMW seats fit and the Corvette seats will be way more easy.

While I have not done corvette seats to Fiero, I have done Fiero seats to a 79 Grand Am, and all I did was remove the rails, and swap them. They bolted up to the same holes. you may get lucky being the vette seats are older than the Fiero.
Good luck and post pics when done.

They will fit just fine. Mine I chose to bolt directly to the floor and did not mess with the tracks, but several others have been able to modify the fiero tracks and drill new mounting holes in the corvette seats and make them fit (Troyboy and LT188GT are a couple who have them with tracks)
In case there are any doubts, my 2000 Trans Am seats are very comfortable. They have some kind of air bladder on each side for a kidney support and they have an adjustable lumbar support. I'm not the kind of guy to lay back, but I find myself doing it a lot in these seats.
I've done it. I have never sat in a fiero seat, but the vette seats hold you tight around corners, don't have to use your abs at all! Ok, maybe I just don't notice because of adrenaline. Funny, I was just thinking about doing a right up about it when I put the carpets in in a few days. Basically, you just do what works. I had to do some cutting and drilling, I used about 5 washers between the seats and the rails to leave the slider lever room to move. (I used the fiero rails, don't know if vette rails would work.) Ask all the question you want, I'll do my best to answer.

i had a 95 triple black C4. and those seats were awesome! the seat cusion somes off so you can store small flat things under the seat. like a repair manual i had the 101 one things to do to a 84-96 corvette book in there and the owners manuals.
so i think i am going to look for those seats to put in my gt since they do seem easy to mount to the rails. they base of those seats are just fiberglass IIRC.

What years of corvette did they make those seats? I haven't seen GM make such good side supports.
1990 through 1996. They are the sport style and there is another style, so make sure you see what you are getting. I had an 86 Vette and while those are good seats too, these are much more comfy and snug on long trips.
I bought my seats on E-bay. I looked for a long long time just for that style. I can thank fieroguru for showing his seats sometime back on PFF and I downloaded his picture just to keep in mind of that particular style. My first choice was going to be the 2000 Trans Am seats as my son had a SLP Firehawk that I drove quite a bit and I fell in love with those. BUT after seeing fieroguru's install I changed my mind.

My seats are not electric. What you see is the control for the seat bladders. In front of the seat just below my leg is a switch which electrically moves the side bolsters in and out. Moving the side in or out is great for some road hugging driving.

Mine were all electric (see the controls on both sides of the seats), but I got them at a Vette swap meet for a steal and they did not come with the powered tracks (part of the reason they were so cheap and the blue inlays ruined them for the Vette people). My hips/butt is wide enough that I did not need to pump up the bladders to be firmly held in place, so I have never hooked them up either.
I will probably be delayed in putting my carpets in so the pic and right up will be later then hoped. I will still answer question as so as possible though.
