I just need the electrical schematics to put it all together. I do not have serial ports on my computer, but i do have a serial/usb converter thingy coming in the mail. But i would really like to just build it all myself to plug right into my usb port

Anybody have some links or anything?1?! I used the search of course but did not find anything on the usb schematics.

Live data can be collected with obd1 correct?
I can only collect data and not program correct?

There are instructions on WinALDL website I believe. Some require max232 chip.

Everything I've read is only for Serial ports, not USB ports. Do you have a Serial cable? Have you tried a USB-Serial port adapter?

Once you price out what it cost you to build a usb cable it's cheaper to just get an usb to serial adaptor.

Unless your building something special.

USB can't be done with just a few parts.

youll need a keyspan adapter... just google it.
