so is my starter bad? it seems to engauge the flywheel just fine, and will even turn the motor over but it is very very slow if it will even rotate the crank. this happens even with a battery charger at 250 amps. i pulled the starter off and it seems to turn fine and pops the gear out quickly, did i burn up the motor? can it be fixed easily or rebuilt? or should i just buy a new starter?

It's Not your motor. It might be your starter, but there could be other causes.Check your battery cables for acid on the contacts, you may allso have a bad ground (battery to the engine block).I would check the voltage on your battery or take it in to the parts store and have it tested.Autozone should do that for free.Worn headlight parts can allso cause a massive power drain,so try disconnecting the single power wire to the right and left headlight motor. It definately sounds like the motor is not cranking fast enough to start.
