We are finished fixing up the exhaust leaks (what a PAIN; removed the engine TWICE) and now the slave cylinder is acting up. Replaced the junky slave cylinder, and bled the line good, but it only goes in about an inch and a half, which isn't enough, apparently. Won't shift into gear at all, either. Any suggestions? Thanks

Unless the master is bad just keep bleeding it. I took the line back off my new slave and had dad pump it with my thumb over the end of the line to flush a bunch of fluid through the line.

Is the slave moving and inch and a 1/2?
That should be more than enough. You should just need a little over an inch.

I didn't think that through, an inch and a half is a lot.

Thanks guys, that helped eliminate the slave cylinder as a culprit

Slave cylinder still is moving MORE than enough (even tried putting a spacer in, didn't help), but the gears just WON'T LET GO! Any help at all would be SOOO appreciated. Is the tranny bad, or (hopefully) something a bit less costly?

If the slave is fine try disconnecting the shifter cables and try to shift the tranny by hand with the clutch depressed. One of the shifter cables could be frozen.
