After getting my car back from the body shop I couldn't get my hood closed. I took the latch apart and the wire that goes to the latch was just hanging there. It also wouldn't latch but I think I fixed that. Inside the car by the handle the line is just hanging down by the floor. I need to know how the lines go into the release handle and how the one goes into the latch. Pics would be appreciated.
I hope that makes sense.
Thanks Ryan

If nobody chimes in, I can get pictures tomorrow night. I've replaced all of that after my hood latch wouldn't release and I got fed up using the skitime opener tool.

The cables (yes there are two the main and a backup) run up thru the fire wall between the fender and the brake booster. It then turns and runs under the wiper cowl to the latch. Is the one hanging the backup by chance. It snaps in next to the release handle.
The backup I believe is hanging and the whole black sleeve they are in is draped down almost to the floor. I still can figure out where the cable that pulls the latch routes/ connects. None of my manuals say anything either.
Loosen all your bolts, remove the headlight doors and close the hood till it fits in the latch and closes, then tighten all the bolts through the openings for the headlight doors.
That helped and solved that problem but now I have something else wrong. After I release the handle everything doesn't spring back. I did this when it was apart. Would it make a difference after I bolt it back to the latch?
The springback is done by the coil spring inside the latch. If it doesn't spring back either the latch is rusty/dirty and sticking or the cables are rusted or kinked and binding inside the housing. You can push the center of the latch down to lock it with a screwdriver and then pull the cable to release in order to see it in action.
So now my cable is either kinked or gunked up. It works fine but it will not release all the way so It will not latch a second time in a row. How do I go about trying to fix this? I sprayed some stuff in there hoping it will loosen up. If its kinked do I have to replace the cable?
