anywhere to locate one if these? ive only found some on ebay for motorcycles. i dont like how slow my blinkers are now and after i convert to LEDs i know they will be stoopid fast. i do not like the idea of using a load resistor on the system. and some of the digital flasher units ive seen blink too fast for my taste.

Just use a 4 way flasher instead of a turn signal flasher. They always flash at the correct speed.

The heavy duty electronic flashers use a chip to control speed instead of a current-driven heater element like plain flashers use. LEDs will either make a standard flasher blink very slowly or not at all; the more current the bulbs draw the faster the bimetal in a plain flasher heats and the faster they blink.

I do not remember what the rate is, but there is actually a correct DOT mandated flasher speed. Not to fast, not to slow.

Found this modification using a Ford Flasher. It could be adapted for the Fiero I think.

ah instrucables, such a great site. i should have looked there first.......

that looks so simple. i am going to try this. the most its gonna cost is the price for the pot. then a dollar to get into pull-a-part.
