I've had an irritating miss in my older 3800, one that I noticed at highway speeds when load increased like going up a slight grade with the cruise on. Today I decided to track it down so went first to all the wire connections then decided to check resistance on the plug wires after installing new plugs. The service manual says to replace wires with more than 30 k ohms resistance. The front bank wires all were 20k or slightly more. When I got to the rear bank #2 was 90 k, 4 was 70k and ole # 6 showed infinite resistance, broke clean thru. As you can imagine the engine runs much better now with new wires. So sometimes it is that simple obvious stuff on page one of the manual.
