this is behind the fuse box in my 87 GT. its a stick if that is going to make any difference. i have no idea what it goes to. it looks like its supposed to plug into something. and there is one black wire (probably a ground) not plugged into it. i dont want to plug it into any available leads since i have no idea what it is or what it goes to. here are the pictures of what it is. they are very high resolution so it can be properly identified.

That white block is the power distribution block for your power accessories. It should not be hanging like that, it should be clipped up behind the dashboard on the driver side. You might not be able to get to it without the dashboard out, in fact I'm 80% sure your hand isn't small enough even if you knew where it went. The orange wire is the power feed to some power accessory; windows, locks, trunk release, something. Plug it into any of the available slots on the white distribution block.

Now you know. :P

There is no black wire... Ever one of those photo's has an orange with with a black pigtail. Plug it into any of the open connectors that will take that size pigtail. It's a power feed.

I went out to the garage and went through all of the harnesses I have. The disconnected pigtail should be the power feed for the mirrors.

The white block is the C200 connector and here is the diagram:

The C200 normally mounts inside of a square cutout in the sheet metal above the fuse box on the left (the inside portion of what would be the fender) - not real easy to get out with the dash in place, but you should be able to snap it back into place fairly easy providing the clips that hold it in place where not damaged getting it out.

oh sweet. thank all of you fiero guys and gals (if any posted)

all my power accessories work. but the power mirrors being mentioned, i have not had to adjust those yet, so ill see. and then plug that connector in the appropriate slot and test again.

so by that connector dangling there mean that the dash was out at some point in time? there was a shotty alarm system installed, so im wondering of thats what it has to deal with.

it definantly isnt my power mirrors. they work and i havent connected that connector yet. and the connector isnt shaped like the one in the FSM page shown. it is shaped like the defroster. and merlot566jka said it didnt work when he tried it once before. so that must be it. the connector is a different color tho. but whatever. we wil see what slots are open when i get a better look at that thing.
