At a local car show last saturday, I saw a grand am with a quad four and a supercharger on it. It looks like an eaton, but smaller than the ones I've seen on 3800s, so I'm not sure exactly what it is. I did get a closeup of the numbers on the housing, though:

a few years ago, GM offered a supercharger kit for the Grand Am's and Alero with the 2.4 twin cam. I will see if I still have one of my older GM PERFORMACE PARTS catalogue to see if it still lists it. I remember thinking about getting it to swap into my grandmothers 1999 Grand Am.

Yeah, I believe it was an Eaton M45. Nice kit.

Wow I would think that would be a MEAN quad 4 prob able to keep up with a stock 3800sc once it hits 3k +. I want to drive it.

Edit: But the "Carbon Fiber" Top to his coolant reserve might be a bit much what would that save 1 oz?

For anyone interested, I found my old GM PERFORMANCE PARTS book, and scanned the page with the 2.4 twin cam supercharger kit. If you go to the performace parts site and enter the part number in, it still lists it. The site does not list the price, but I would image any anyone really interested in it could call and find out.

This is half of the page from the book.

I think it's meant more as dressing than function.

I saw GMPP offering that kit a few months ago. I seem to remember it being priced around $2500.
