I can't think of what else it could be, my front rotors seem to be making a rattlesnake rattle sound when I brake, its totally equal to wheel speed. Sort of like the pads passiong over the slots make a click? I only hear itin front but maybe because I have Carbomet pads in front and others that came with new calipers in back?

Yes, they kind of make a "whoosh, whoosh" sound because of the slots/cross-drilled holes.
I had just the cross-drilled at one time and the noise is normal.

That noise is your outer brake pad rattling on the caliper. Try moving the pad with your hands. If they move a little, that's where the noise is coming from. The slots on the rotors are probably causing the pad to move around more than usual. I've knocked the metal tabs on the pad with a hammer just a bit so that the pad sits snug on the caliper. You can also try some noise suppressing compound to the backs of the pads. Basically hardens up and fixes the pad to the caliper.

There really not recommended for street use. Just this week, one of the Magnum guys who had slotted ones had one explode towing his trailer. The chunk that came off split right at the cuts. They were the expensive zinc ones too that dont rust. There not happy with hot and cold cycles...great for racing where temps stay way up.
