what size of injector is in the 2.5 duke engines?
i have a bad injector. it doesnt spray a even cone.
i have another parts car that has a TBI. so im woundering if i can just swap the injector. they both look fairly similar. i havnt took out the injector for the fiero yet.
im just not to sure what the flow rating if you were to call it on the stock fiero injector.

The 84-86 Dukes had 60 pound/hour flow rates.

Duke injectors prior to 87 should fit, as would 2.0L non-turbo and 5.0/5.7 injectors. I'm not sure if 1.8L and 1.0L injectors are the same as ours, though. I think the 5.7 injectors are a higher flow rate, but the ECM should compensate for that as long as your O2 sensor is in good working order.

ok well i have a 1990 camaro RS with the 305 TBI engine. the car is scrapes besies the frame. im building a drag car with the camaro.
and the fuel rate is 55lbs an hour
its fairly close. would you notice any performence downgrade with the lower flow of injector?

i know both injectors work great on the camaro because it was running and driving when i had it for my daily driver.
and if this one ever craps out. i can always use the other injector from the camaro

ill put in the injector tommorrow and see how it works out. the fiero one just called it quits. it doesnt spray or anything. i think some dirt or something clogged up the injector. and it also cought on fire because i poured alittle bit of fuel in the intake to start up beacuse it wasnt starting up. anyways it backed fired threw the tbi and cought the injector on fire. i had to throw my had in there and i pulled off the injector plug on the top of the injector. so i saved the important part.

It should work. If the flow rate is too small the ECM will see a lean condition and it will lengthen the injector pulse width to add more fuel.
