Of course it will fit in a Fiero. Oh wait...you probably intend to put a transmission in with it. Never mind.

The Fiero's 4-cylinder is almost too long. A straight 6 - no way. You can check with a tape measure.

Yea, I have a straight 6 in my garage (yea, I know, what don't I have) It would fit great in a Fiero if you did not need a trans or a decklid.

Who would put a Skyline engine in a Fiero? I have heard that a GM LSx engine is lighter, sounds better too.

Found the answer Volvo makes a FWD inline 6 Pic http://us.autos1.yimg.com/i...r_engine_640x480.jpg
its found in newer XC90's and V70's and maybe others. Its rated at 235hp and 236 ft lbs. Now I make no promise but if it fwd maybe using there tranny and a widebody kit and a LOT of $$$$ it could be made to work. Or you could go 3800 and save a lot of $$$$. Enjoy

The older Audi 5cylinders are very long, but the new 2.5 5cylinder out of a Jetta V would fit nicely.

Why bother with a straight 6? I can understand the 5 but not the 6. The VR6 fits because of its unique configuration.

Hmm, I think I will look around. I wonder how much it would cost me to turbocharge one of those 2.5's.

Oh hell. Should I go for the death trap? 416 small block with a couple turbos?
