Have a few questions, figured I'd ask them at once

I have a 3800SC swapped Fiero that tends to overheat. I have only driven the car a handful of times, but it seems like there is to much pressure in the coolant area. Initially, I believe there was a lot of air trapped, and that caused it to overheat. Since then, it's gotten a Fiero thermostat housing, and I had it burped at a mechanics. Thing is.. If you run the car long enough, it always seems to blow a hose, or spring a coolant leak. I even ran it without a thermostat and noticed the same problem. I tested the coolant for combustion gases, and it didnt have any in there, and the engine seems to run smooth.. So I assume it's not a bad head gasket. I checked for kinked hoses, I burped the hell out of the coolant system, and I have also replaced the radiator and flushed the engine. Since it has around 119,000some miles on it, I'm curious..

1. If the Supercharger gasket, or the intake gaskets were going bad, is it possible for boosted intake air to maybe find its way into the coolant passages, causing it to over pressurize and spring radiator/hose/clamp etc leaks?

2. When replacing the lower intake manifold gaskets that are now aluminum, is any specia sealant required? Or do they go no dry? Also, have the torque specs changed now that the gaksets are no longer plastic?

Thanks in advance folks. I plan to take the car to a forum member to help me do some work on it. Ideally, I can get this overheating/pressure issue fixed beforehand so I can get the car to him.

ok i am guessin the engine has never had the lower intake gaskets replace and they do go bad dex and the gaskets don't get along. The gasket it self goes in dry but the rubber valley gaskets i would definatly use sealant on the block and Lower intake side just to prevent oil leaks. when you pull the blower off make sure to replace the blower o- rings and of course the gasket. any question you can pm me i work for ed morad and deal with these cars every day

I would be curious to see the design of the fill neck...

Thanks for the responses!

The Fill is UGLY. Had it welded up and the guy goofed and welded the heater feed shut. I had to have him re-do it, and it's just a mess. Bright side is you don't see it too well with the engine parts in the way.

If I had to do it over again, I would change the angle (it angles toward the firewall), and I may when the engine is worked over.

I am thinking that possibly the heater core is in the wrong spot... but i guess the easy way to tell is the question "does the heat work?"

I picked the car up from the welder in the winter, he reinstalled the coolant fill. I did have heat. I never did check to see if it was placed above or below the thermostat though. I just somewhat assumed. I will check tonight
