Anyone use one of these scopes? I am considering buying one to quickly diagnose my Fiero. Could these tell me if a timing chain has slipped?

Far more ancient tools can help you diagnose timing chain slipping. Results of a compression test will be off for all 6 cylinders

AND if you check the timing with a timing light with the ALDL jumpered you'll find the timing to be off several degrees.

...actually now that I think about it I'd do the timing light thing first...

MT2500 is not a scope, it's a scanner, and yes, with the proper cartridge it will work on the Fiero just fine. I've had one for quite a while. Best bet for cartridges is eBay, from Snap On they are so expensive it's cheaper to buy a Modis or some other unit.
