Can someone please tell me if a transmission from a 4 cylinder 5 speed will work with a stock 2.8? I want to put a V6 into a car if I can get it. Just wondering whats involved with getting the trans to work with it, if it can at all. Thanks in advance.

Yes a 2.8 will bolt up to a Izsu 5 spd. You'll need the engine mounts, wireharness, ecu. Depending on the vintage of 2.8 you may need an externally balanced pessure plate. I'm sure others will also add to the list of needs. I'm not sure about the fuel pump. Good luck.

You will need a new fuel pump. The 4-cylinder pump doesn't have enough pressure.
