I am considering new custom wheels and tires for my 1988GT sitting presently with factory 15" honeycombs. I am thinking 18" front and back..but would like them to show offsets to match the factory ones. Maybe 7-7.5 front and 8-8.5 rear.

Appreciate ur suggestions before I lay out $1500-$2,000. I do want to avaoid problems

Thanks guys (and gals)

stagger the offset, with like a 38mm offset for rear, and 42 front. 18 x 7.5 is good for front, and 18 x 8.5 is good for rear.

I'm running 18 x 7.5's all around, and i want to get my rear's widened to at least 8.5.

I have 225/40/18 front, and 235/40/18 rear.

i think on a 18 x 8.5 wheel, a 255/35/18 would be a good size for the rear.

the front 18x 7.5 with 225/40/18 tire is just right.
