I just picked up a Getrag 5-speed that I'm going to use with my eventual 3800sc swap. I was thinking of going ahead and doing the tranny swap with the four cylinder still in the car. With the Iron Duke still in there, which clutch do I use? The one for the V6 or the four cylinder? I just thought I'd go ahead and get some of the engine swap out of the way early. The engine part of it will wait until later.

Personally I'm going to be getting a spec stage 4 which is actually a spec stage 3 with a rigid hub. The stock 4 and 6 cyl will probably slip under acceleration. This is assuming you were talking about installing a clutch that would accept a s/c 3800. If you're talking just about what you're wanting to run your 4 cyl for a while, I'm not sure if the 4 cyl would work on a getrag since the 4 cyl never came with a getrag. Someone will definitely know the answer to that. Just for your info, here are the spec stage clutch numbers and max torque.

Stage 1 - SC881 - 250TQ max
Stage 2 - SC882 - 310TQ max
Stage 3 - SC883 - 450TQ max
Stage 4 - SC884 - 450TQ max (rigid hub)

Yeah, temporarily I was just going to hook up the Getrag to the four cylinder. The 3800sc will be installed as a totally different project. But I just didn't know if I would have to use the four cylinder's clutch, the V6's, or if it'll work at all. I know the bellhousing bolt pattern is the same. But flywheels, clutch thicknesses, and so on is what I didn't know.

It should work just fine. You need the clutch disk, pressure plate, and throw out bearing for the getrag, and the flywheel for the 4 cyl. You also need the shifter and cables, slave cylinder, and reverse switch for the getrag, but you already knew that.
