So the other day I realized the clutch in my car is to far gone to drive with it anymore. My car is a '85 V6 4-speed and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what clutch to buy and the differences between them. Any good advice, comments, concerns on how I can get this properly changed would really help
Ive also been considering swaping the engine with a 3.4 when this 2.8 dies, thats not going to happen for a while though, but I want to buy a clutch that can handle the extra HP if I ever do decide to go that route.
Thanx.

The difference in hp between the 2.8 and 3.4 won't make much difference on a clutch.

Just grab a LUK clutch from autozone or other.

Or if you want to spend too much money and get a hypersensitive clutch, I hear the Centerforce kits work well.

How was that helpful? lol

If you were going with a more powerful motor, I'd recommend an xtd or xtr kit off ebay. Those clutches are fantastic

Sorry, sorry. I'm bitter.

In all seriousness it really depends on how much extra motor you plan on putting in the thing. Personally I think the stock style clutch will work for most of the popular engine swaps. Autozone or Fierostore.com I suppose would all have good stuff for stock. As for aftermarket items, others would know better than me most likely.
