I used the stock Fiero V6 hoses on my SC3800 Formula. All I had to do was carefully bend the A/C hose muffler a bit to clear.

The set I had made were a graft of the Fiero and Grand Prix hoses. They will be up in the mall or on eBay soon if you are interested.

I used the Fiero hoses and with the bulk head (driver's side of vehicle), and cut off the bulkhead to the compressor. I was given a set of GTP hoses and cut the bulkhead off that ran to the compressor. A buddy of mine set me up with a great welder who mated two parts together.

However, I am running WCF headers and the stock bulkhead interferes with the header. The line was bent, but not enough. Over time, with the engine torquing back and forth, it wore a small pinhole in the aluminum line and the refrigerant leaked out ( I wouldnt' believe my wife when she told me she saw smoke, albiet briefly, eminating from the engine bay vent located on the driver' side). Had to go the scrap yard, cut some 1/2" aluminum elbows and have them grafted onto the supplied side.

Fun thing is, I lost one of the o-rings to the bulk head during the repair process. I went to a dealer to get two O-rings. One was $1.75 and the other was over $35.00, yes $35+ for an o-ring. Screw that, I went to a local auto shop that had a box full of neoprene o-rings and got two for under two bucks. I work for GM and was down right floored when I found we were listing an o-ring for over $35. GM is "Lord of the O-Rings".

Loyde of Fast Fieros can do it for you or you can call any AC shop,if they can't do it, ask who makes their AC hoses. Some hydrolic shops can allso do this .You will need the Fiero AC hose and ends. You will allso need the 3800 AC hose and ends. Both are combined into one with a new hose in between.you will allso need to measure the length from the AC connecting point to the Fiero connecting point behind the lower drivers firewall (plus a couple of inches for error).Loyde does these things all the time, so your probubley better off going through him.

I used hoses from an 88 fiero 4cyl. There is a little bending needed to clear the firewall, but otherwise it was a simple install

from loyde's site.

Nothing too special. If you find fiero lines that fit, remember that you need to get the "shims" that let you plug into the compressor.

If your compressor has just been hanging out on a floor somewhere, then there is a decent chance its got too much crud in the inside to be of any worth, but I guess thats only what i hear.

What I have done for years with all the 3800 swap's, fiero's that have A/C is I use the fiero compressor and lines. The only mod I do is swap out the pullies, basicaly I use the 3800 surpenine pully and mount it on the fiero compressor. Then usualy on the series II, I drill out the three threaded holes on the fiero compressor large enough so they will slide over the three studs on the 3800 A/C bracket. This way you have an all original fiero A/C system on your 3800 swap. The A/C will only work if your stock fiero system worked before, plus when I'm doing a swap with a good A/C system I dont even disconect the lines, so no freeon is lost.
