First do you think it can be done on a 85 2m6 ,I dont see how to start cutting the seal on the window without cracking it.
Its a great back window and would like to keep it for a spare ,so any suggestion.
Replacing it with a cut down piece of plexiglass,I'm practicing a 3" chop on a spare car.

There is a thread on here that I just saw it was about taking tinting off the window. It also talks about taking the window out. It may help you out. Its probably on page 2 or 3.

I just did this to my parts car. Why? It was kinda like climbing Mt Everest----because it was there. First off, the GT fastback and interior trim were removed. So I had a somewhat unobstructed shot at it. After cutting/clearing out the exterior rubber as much as possible, I took some needle nose pliers and removed as much black "snot"as I could from the inside. At the end in desperation, I soaked this super sticky "snot" with acetone (use plenty of ventilation) and it seemed to chemically change it where it was much easier to cut/pull out. Once you remove all of the black sealant that is accessible from inside and outside, clear enough sealant from one of the upper corners as possible. I then used various wires strung through this gap as a cutting blade(Go to harbor Freight tools to look at their window removal kit). After breaking about 12 pieces of wire, I cut a spare piece of garage door cable(this is tough stuff) about 18" long and attached through the sealant gap and used two vice grips as handles. Using this as a "saw" I was able to cut through the remainder of the sealant on the sides and top. I then leaned the window down and cut the bottom hinge. You really need two people for this, but I worked through the sun-roof an it went OK. This will take quite a bit of time and patience, but if you ever need a rear window, it'll be on the shelf.

I removed one last summer also, just to do it..

I used a windsheild knife. It's kind of like a utility knife but the blade is longer and has a hook on the end and the handle is about 18" long.. Just kept digging and worked my way around the window. I also got an old butcher knife from the goodwell, (50cents) sharpened it up and cut some hooks in the end with a cutoff wheel to work the corners

You need the window warm otherwise the sealer is really hard. At least it was on mine.

After I got it loose I still could not get it out until I remove the trim on each side...

It was lots of fun. Working inside a fiero cutting it out was work.

Now sports fans for the best way to remove a windshield or back glass..use (could have name wrong)methyl ethel ketone (mek) to soften the glue holding the cars sealant mek evaporates quickly and should not damage the paint,do not use gasoline..you need 2 feet of piano wire..cut a pathway for the wire ,use a windshield knife if available theyuse to sell them at autoparts stores..cut thru the seal at the base Bottom corner and pull the piano wire thru with a pair of pliers keep pliers away form glass it is easy to crack.. before you pulled wire you attached wire to sturdy wood handle by wraping and tying..with the wire thru the glass ty the other end to another wood dowel handle..and saw lumberjack stlye while singing monty python,s "" I,m a lumberjack and thats O K, I like to drink beer where the boys are gay"" work around the perimeter,, apply even pressure and keep tension on the wire to prevent kinks and breakage..before cutting the glass free..apply masking tape to the corners, attach the tape to each pillar.now split the tape..this will become your alignment point for installation.. Now the person inside applies even pressure with out trying to force the glass,,with the outside person supporting the glass..light outward pressure will separate the glass from the body pillar, remove the glass..if reinstall or replace with a used windshield or back glass leave a healthy bead of original sealant ( adhesive) unless it is completely hardened,,urethane bonds well to itself and old caulking works in favor of a strong seal..the old sealant works as a base for the new sealant,, windshield adhesive kits are available at your auto parts store (use to be ) I dont know any thing about this.. happen to have an old pop mechanic article.. the glass part is the part you will primer and recoat with sealer
