sorry maybe i have the wrong name, but i want to upgrade the basically the rear axle. i want to upgrade the arms that come out of the trany and turn the wheels.
Don't worry about the axles. You're far more likely to break something else first. If you've got a stock drivetrain, I doubt you could break an axle if you tried. Something else would give first.

you can easily break a rear axle CV joint if the boots are ripped and sand got in the grease, I've snapped a CV joint with a 64HP 3cyl engine before. Even a Gt running on 2 cylinders can break a bad CV joint.
So are you talking the CV joints or the actual axles which are nothing more than the metal rods between the CV joints, or the spindles on the ends of the CV joints that enter the transmission and the hub that drives the rear tires.

sounds like what happened to mine before, the joints broke, so so i have any options on making them stronger to just maintain them basically?

Right, there is nothing you can do to make them stronger. The only thing I could think of that might do anything is cryo treatment, but like what was said earlier, the OEM is strong enough.
There shouldnt be any maintenence involved with these either. The only thing that you can do if you feel it is neccessary, is to take them apart, regrease them and install new boots. Other than that, they take care of themselves.

balance them, might take a while to find a shop that can do it but its worth it. theyre really out of wack most of the time. this reduces noise, drivetrain stress, and vibrations. also make sure the boots arent really soft and spongey, if they are, replace them. if you dont know what your doing pay someone to do it.
