Just wondering with battery relocation what y'all have used for hold downs?

If you put it in the spare tire well, the tire itself makes a good hold down device.

Jegs had a real nice kit for @$35. It came with the wire, battery tray, hold downs,and connectors. Fits real nice in my Archie battery box.

When I remount batteries under the pass head light I weld a plate on one side and a nut on the other to reuse the factory piece for clamping the battery in place. I find it easier to work with then the after market ones that have a rod going down both sides. Dan

I weld a short bar to the front of the box so that the front lip on the battery just goes under it then drill a hole and weld a nut below the box and use the stock hold down. If you don't use something to hold the front of the battery down it can tip backwards.

Course, if you're using a fiber glass box, welding stuff to it might be a bit difficult!
