This is an e-bay Item that looks interesting though I can't tell if it would actually look remotely decent on an AERO Nosed Fiero. They look like they MIGHT be okay?

What does anyone think?

The Toyota Sera is a nice car. But the little add-ons give me a ricer feeling. I'd have to see the whole car, for an honest opinion.

Yeah- that term is the first thing that occured to me as well- that's why I'm asking for opinions. I don't really care for stuff that looks totally non-stock myself, but I'd like to change the look of the upward sloping nose on my GT.

That would great if the bottom of the Fiero GT/SE nose was flat. But it isn't. It's angled slightly upward. So if you add canards to it, you'll actually be increasing front end lift.

I was thinking that you'd need to use a spacer or something in order for it to not do that Blacktree- what you said makes complete sense.

I don't think that it would follow the lines on the bumper. It would look a little strange.

Some correctly sized spacers should do the trick. The bottom/front corners of the aero nose are almost 3" higher than the bottom/rear corners. The front edge of the aero nose also curves up toward the corners. So if you want the spoilers to be horizontal, there will be a lot of space to fill. But if you can pull it off and make it look good, more power to ya.

Can you post the e-bay link? I was wondering how they might look on an F355 nose.

Blacktree,

I wondered about modifying the parts themselves and cutting down the back/rear portions to fit our fascias better somehow. I don't necessarily like those "winglet" looking parts that stick out in one of the pics on a vehicle. I'm going as much on looks as function here, but I don't want to add "looks" that DECREASE performance in the process, nor do I want it to look "cheesy." Just trying to do something to make the GT nose look a little better as I can't stand the uphill nose look.

You could sort of get that same look, the way Skitime did it with an Aero nose cut and mounted upside down.

TXGOOD,

I'm really not a big fan of making the GT nose look even bigger, and that's what a majority of the add on ideas I've seen end up doing IMHO when you extend from the leading edge of the existing fascia. Some have really done nice work with theirs like the pic you posted here, but it's just not my thing. I want an add on that sets back from the front edge a bit, to create a look more like a (gasp) second generation MR2 or something. This is very hard, however, given the styling of the GT fascia from the get go. This is why I dream of a nice add on air dam that sets back a tad and is a good match for the standard aero package that is designed for the 87-88 coupe nose. Just my opinion though!

Road and track says 120lbs of lift at the front at 100mph for the 1984-86 standard coupe body style. This thread has the quote from the article:
