Well, after another Wisconsin winter, I've decided to (gasp) buy some snow tires for the '88GT. I know they will help; my '85 2M6 had snows at all four corners, and it was well worth it.

Question: I would probably get some narrow steel rims (to save my very good aluminums). Anybody know what GM car would have come with the proper pattern and offset for this? I would probably go with Pxxx70R-15 or maybe a 78-series, but I would ask advice. I would be okay with steel wheels for the winter, but aluminums would be acceptable. I'd give the Salvage Yard a choice.

Thanks.

Chevy Cavileers have the same bolt pattern. Same offset for the rear wider offest for the front for an 88GT but they will be the same as a coupe. The set I have on my car are actually 14's so the tires should actually be cheaper.

Lots of older front wheel drive GM cars had wheels that would fit. Cavalier, older 1985-199? Grand Am, 1980's Citation, etc.
