Hi my name is Marcus. I am 19 yrs. old and I just joined this forum. I am very interested in buying a pontiac fiero. I love the body style and things you can do to them. I am 6'2" tall. My question is how much leg room or interior space is in a fiero. Will I be able to drive one comfortably? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you

There is a surprisingly large amount of interior space. Headroom may not be ideal for some people, but I find there is a lot of legroom.

Since the entire compartment is for only two people, it feels quite roomy. Passengers have quite a bit of legroom, the driver's side is a bit more cramped with the pedals and dead pedal.

You may have to put the steering wheel up to get in and out of the car comfortably.

Edit: Wanted to add that a lot of the roominess in the Fiero is the result of there being almost no storage area, the glovebox is nearly useless, little map pocket on the dash, pockets on the doors, and that's about it. There are however, two large separate ash trays

I am 6ft 2in as well, and the fit is no problem as long as you get a car with tilt wheel steering.

There is actually room (because of the way you sit in a Fiero) to straigten your knees all the way out.

A lot of Fiero enthusiasts (Like V8 Archie) are tall guys and fit without a problem.

Just don't expect to help friends and relatives move, because, after about two passengers and knicknacks your car will be full.

My wife and I are both 6'2" and we both have plenty of leg room in the fiero. When my seats were adjustable, I didn't even have the seat all the way back.

I'm 6' 2" as well. I fit comfortably. I will say I like to bend my left knee while cruising. The "foot rest" area near the kick panel is kinda small and keeps my foot at an odd angle. So I just bend my knee which then rests between the steering wheel and the door. The drawback then is the blinker switch. Maybe an inch to spare with my knee bent.

I found the 98 Mustang I owned and the 2003 Mustang I test drove far tighter even with the seats all the way back. A 2005 is plenty roomy and my 70 Mustang Fastback is about the same. But in either car my legs extend just as comfortably as the Fiero. It's just the lack of foot space. But when I picked up my Fiero I drove it home 300+ miles without discomfort. Getting out of it is the most agrrevating thing. But any car with seats that low can be a pain in that regard.

Im 6'4 and have lots of room, Ive got to find a pic of my brother who is 6'8" and has an indy. His only problem (besides looking goofy getting in and out) is his shoe size, which is 16 us. I waer a 13 and have to be aware of which shoes I have on when I drive the stick car or irts not too much fun..

in a nutshell, you will be just fine! Welcome!!!

For atleast your first twenty posts or so, there should be a message that pops up before you post a new topic that tells you to search first...

I'm 6' 5" and I fit fine although there's a 'knack' to getting my long legs in with the pedals in the way (twist right foot behind brake pedal, slide in, untwist foot to in front of pedal, bring in left leg).

Couple of inches head room.

Can't move much once I'm in mind you

I too am fairly tall 6'3", and about ~220lbs, and find the Fiero to be EXTREMELY comfortable. I've owned close to 25 some odd cars in the past 14 years and I've found the Fiero to be THE most comfortable of all of them (although lumbar support could be improved).

That said, I have MORE leg room in my 1987 Pontiac Fiero than I do in my 2002 Ford Crown Victoria...

1. if you're a new user, you may not know there even is a search function.
2. the search isn't the greatest. i have trouble finding my OWN past tech threads
3. normally, you can get an answer to a question faster from us than searching through thread after thread.

but back to the question.
i think they feel great once you get them zipped up.
