My 87 GT's antenna is missing, and the guy I bought my car from said someone stole it by unscrewing it. Did they really just unscrew or is this a line of BS? DId the GTs have electric antennas? The factory head unit is long since gone so I don't know if it had the premium stereo or not. Will a standard GM replacement antenna fit?

The original antenna was just a screw on attachment. A replacement can be found at most audio stores. Check to see if the male stud is still in place inside the fender hole. No electric antennas were an option on the GTs.

i tried to unscrew my antenna from my 86 GT and it snapped right off at the base... make sure it isn't destroyed before you go and buy another one
