The driver's side rear caliper is squirting out brake fluid, when I press the brake. The fluid is
squirting out of the e-brake lever lever. Will the rebuild kit fix this?

Just got my Formula back from Ed Parks with a 4.9 and having a blast with it.

The rebuild kit does include a seal for the lever, so it should take car of that. I don't remember exactly how it went, but I believe there was a flat gasket that goes between the lever and the caliper, and an o-ring inside as well.

If they're like the 84-87 calipers, then they're a PITA. Have fun, and yes there are seals doe this area.

Been there, done that. Get the rebuilt calipers, costs more, but those will save you many, many headaches.

I rebuilt both my rears and am happy with the results. If the caliper is physically damaged a rebuild kit won't help that, but mine work great after a rebuild.

Also a perfect opportunity to paint

Though I had to pull them apart again after this pic because I had the pad retaining springs in wrong

Thanks for the info, I'm up and running now. The painful part was gettng the old piston boot off (was almost "glued" to the metal) and then
getting the new boot on. I will definitely get an entire caliper next time.

The boot was a PITA on mine as well, I believe I found a pipe that fit perfectly around it to punch it on. 88 Calipers can be difficult to find.
