im just curious, i owe a local member a tranny bracket, its the rear bracket that goes at the back of the cradle, im not 100% sure if they are the same or not, but they all appear to be the same, i know there are differences in the front bracket, but im unsure of the rear bracket being different, currently ive got to buy him a bracket, BUT i do have a muncie 4 speed with the bracket on it, if the brackets the same i wont have to buy one.

I'll just say this. When I tried to put a 5sp izzy in my 85Gt replacing the 4sp I used the rear bracket from the 4sp.
It would not fit without making mods to it. The 5sp needed it to be wider which changed the hole geometry.

was it just "bearly" wider? cause i think i done this in the past and had to "oblong" the two holes on the right side when looking at the tranny from the rear of the car.

I had to move them out and lengthen them by the distance of another hole.
If you force it to make it work the seat that sets on the trans mount is no longer parallel since.
Would it work, yes guess it would but would not be to my liking...

The Izzy and Getrag Brackets are different, too.
When I did my swap I checked to see, since I had both right in front of me.
They were different enough that I wouldn't try to adapt one to the other.

I agree, when I changed from an Isuzu to a 4 speed(for strength on my V8 car), the rear bracket was not a good fit, the holes in the bracket did not align with the holes in the transmission, when I got the correct bracket they lined up fine.
