After doing some searching, it seems that most recommend the Crane 272 Cam. Do i need to purchase different rockers or lifter set if i am going to be using this in my 2.8? And anyone know who would have it the cheapest? Summit had the cheapest from what i found, any others?

Thanks for any help +

You do need to buy good performance lifters:
http://store.summitracing.c...86%2D12&autoview=sku
You don't need to buy the rockers, But the Comp Cams 1.52 roller tipped rockers and heavy duty pushrods are recommended.
Rockers:

Pushrods:

Summit Racing is the cheapest place to get them from.

So-called flat-faced lifters, like the hydraulic lifters in your pushrod V6 engine, take a "set" when they contact the camshaft. For that reason, new hydraulic lifters would be a good idea with your new hydraulic camshaft, and help reduce the odds of wiping out your new cam via the "false economy" of reusing your engine's old hydraulic lifters.

Yes, I imagine some people may have successfully pulled off reusing old hydraulic lifters, but that generally is not considered a recommended gamble. The recommendation to employ new hydraulic lifters with your new hydraulic cam isn't some clever conspiracy of the cam companies to sell you more parts; it's just a good idea, good insurance.
