I am pretty torn about what engine swap i want! I am looking at a 3800, northstar or a 350 4 bolt. I wanted to get opinions from everyone. I also wanted to know what people have done to there stocks? Whats better for off the line? MPG is important....kind of...throw it out there if you got something to say.

Thanks

From everything i have read and heard, the 3800 is the way to go for reliability and gas mileage. If i had not already bought a 4.9 setup, that is the way i would have gone, but i am still having a blast with the carbureted 4.9 in mine, even though the gas mileage is not very good.

If you want off the line performance, nothing beats lots of torque. One of GM's Performance V8s should do the trick, if you can afford it.

Welcome to the Forum.
Everybody is going to give you a different opinion on the best swap. My opinion is the 350 4 bolt, but I am a hardcore small block fan, and a firm believer of " there is no replacement for displacement " The 3800sc is a great swap with good gas mileage, and great performance. It all depends on what you want out of the swap. Whatever you decide on will be the right one for you. After all it is your car, and if your happy with it, thats all that matters. Don't get talked into something you don't know about. Stick with what you know.
