Okay, just replaced my Dizzy with a FieroStore rebuilt unit, and now get a Code 42 on startup as well as poor running. Shutting the car off and re-starting it solves the issue. Re-starting the car always solves the problem.

Would this likely be an issue with the ignition module itself? The module that came with the dizzy looks to be a cheap brand unit. The car runs fine though after restart, and it does run even with the code 42.

It runs rough when you first start it?

Check the connections for the Pickup coil to the module. Also, when you set the timing, did you average it between cylinders 1 and 4 (I believe those are the two to average with)

Its rough only while I have the check engine light. I can immediately shut it off and restart it and it runs excellent. With the light on the car won't go into cold Idle and it labors. As soon as I shut it off and restart it cold idle kicks in and it goes fine.

Wiring is good and I set the timing right after installing the dizzy.
