well im wondering that to run wide tires in back (275) to avoid paying out the ass for good rims could i just put a 2" spacer ond run camaro ss rims? also would there be any real adverse handleing changes with 235's in front. are there any reasons to avoid wheel spacers? i coudnt find an awnser to this question and i was just wondering. also with 450 at the wheels would i spin like crazy off the line?

I run 1/4" spacers on the rims on another car and everytime i chat with a "true blue" wheels guy he cringes, so i can only image what a qualified wheel guy would say about a 2" spacer ...

good quality 2'' spacers can be made
but they cost alot and need to be hub centrick
and will still stress the wheel bearings

non-hub centrick spacers are a disaster waiting to happen

any way correct offset wheels are the best way to go and maybe cheaper

Question wonder and be wierd
are you kind?

spacers are less than 1/4 inches. Anything 2 inches thick is an adapter. Like said your asking for disaster...not a question of IF, but only when. If it only a 2 inch thick spacer you need at least lug bolts that are over 3 inches long. Even Nascar dont have those and a 3 inch long stud will never support the car weight in say a high speed turn.
