i have a 2000 gtp 3800sc in my 1987 fiero gt. my mechanic switched the valve covers around but i dont think he put gaskets is this correct?

haven't even started it yet waiting on wiring harness to be completd. Just trying to save myself a headache

what is the problem? there are little rubber gaskets that sit inside the valve covers, if they are there you are all set. Old ones might leak a bit.
