Just as it says, can someone post a pic of a welded manifold? The trunk side manifold has cracked again and before I port and ceramic coat another one I want to make sure I'm welding it correct. Darrell Morse used to do this, so If anyone has his I'd copy it.

I don't know the nature of your manifold damage but when I repaired mine I cut it in two pieces after mounting it to an extra cylinder head I had to relieve the stress and then welded it back together while attached to the cylinder head.

Ok, from what I see on the website I'm welding a little to heavy. This would explain the cracks from to much heat from the welder.

You also need to be using 309 filler metal because the tubing is made from 410 stainless. The wrong filler will cause cracks fairly fast. Are you using wire, stick, or tig?

I used a mig, but there is a guy in town that has a tig. I just might let him do them this time.
