When I bought my car two months ago it had this ugly cover over the dash to protect it from UV. It was affixed with Velcro of two different types. Removing the Velcro left patches of two types of glue on the dash. One of the types came right off using “Goo Gone” The second type is stubborn. The only thing I have found so far to get it off is a product called “Goof Off”. The problem is that it takes the surface of the vinyl off too reducing the textured mat finish to that is looks shinier. I have only done one spot with that produce and you’d never notice the damage if you didn’t know. I am ready to listen to all suggestions. This same stubborn glue is on the defroster grill so I can remove the grill to test various solvents for effectiveness. If I do some damage to the grill paint, that is not such a big deal. If all else fails, I have resolved to use “Goof Off” on the entire dash to at least give is a consistent appearance. Any suggestions folks? That’s probably a stupid question on this site.
