I was replacing the orings on my injectors and broke half the lip off the plastic tip on one injector. With a new oring will this be ok till I tear it down again this winter. At $100.00 each I'd rather wait as I might do a swap anyways. Here's a pic if it works.

I was thinking it should be ok as the oring pushes against that yellow ring when installed. I tried pulling that plastic end off and it will not come off so I don't think it will go anywhere. Just wanted a second opinion. Thank you Dodgerunner

you might want to check "The Mall" section regularly, and wait for a set of injectors to show up. then, when you get a set, send 8 out for cleaning & testing. when you get them back, use the 6 that have the closest matching flow rates.

I have 6 stock injectors with only a few thousand miles on them. I ended up getting larger ones for my engine conversion. if you're interested, PM an offer to me.

Thanks for the offer but I am leaning towards a swap over the winter and really don't want to put anymore then I have to into the motor. Why I didn't want to spend $100.00 on an injector that I mostly likely won't be able to use after the swap. I put the old one back in and it's working fine. No problem. Thanks again

used injectors are cheap - I'm sure the guy above would take $30 for the set. and, there are also junkyards - find any 3100/3400
Go down to your local diesel injection shop, there must be one around. They usually have a drawer full of those little bastards sitting around, they just pull off and you snap the new one in place after you install your o-rings and new spacers. I got a set of 6 for telling the guys I would send some more business their way, lol, doesnt get any cheaper than that!
