Or at least know your way around one? for my 3800 swap I am using the heater core line that runs down the passenger side of the engine bay and then, originaly, went to a port on the bottom of the intake manifold. I cut that line where it was soft rubber to remove the engine, not being able to undo the giant fitting on the intake. Then I cleaned up the edge and spliced in a new piece of hose that runs to the coolant hole underneath the snout of the supercharger, using the stock elbow that was in the hole. I have a bent piece of steel or iron or some metal forced up against the elbow to hopefully keep it all the way in. Well now it has gone from a slow drip to a steady pour out of around the elbow and I want to just plug the hole and re route the heater core line to the t stat housing and I have a couple questions.
If I buy the one loyde has or the west coats one my drilled 180* stat is useless? I like my newer t stat and would rather weld an old fill point and heater core out onto the 3800 t stat housing, will that work?
Second question the heater core in(out from the engine) line is hard line all the way to the back right corner of the engine bay, is there a point closer to the front firewall that is goes to soft rubber that I can splice from there and run the hose up to the t stat fill?
