Thanks Darthfiero for all of the spoon feeding you've done over the past week. I have 3 Fiero manuals 2 duplicates (Haynes) with the wiring diagrams in them and left them both in Atlanta and that's part of the problem. The other is tyring to look at the actual shop manual on computer. Either way I haven't been able to sort out the issue trying to use the GM shop manual.

I have power to the fuel pump and have cranked the engine over, now I need to tackle the spark ignition. For some reason I can't seem to find the B+ power wire that energizes the coil. I thought it was the thick pink wire coming from the the junction block near the battery but that wire is grounded, so if someone knows where the original power wire is hiding I'd appreciate info on how to get to it. I don't recall if the coil has power to it at all times or just in the key on position. I'm trying to avoid tapping into another source and yes I'm feeling a bit lazy now to.

Joe, If Im reading this correct, your looking for the Hot wire to a V^ ignition coil, which is the big pink one from the C500. Get your DMM back out and find out whats connected wrong. Here is the section from the 86 FSM that shows the connection.

I hope this helps, I love this project.

Thanks, but the only problem was me, I never tested the wire to ground with the battery installed and the key turned to the on position where it posted the proper voltage. I never changed anything at that terminal so I couldn't understand why there would be a problem and the wiring diagram indicated that wire was the proper connection. I have fire now so hopefully I'll be able to hear it run tomorrow. If so I'll take my moms camera and try take some video.
