To those who have swapped thier seats for the 90's camaro/firebird seats. Are they good and comfortable? Easy swap? Finally, which exact years were the seats from again? Thanks in advance!!

Dang, you would ask what year. I have no idea, did it about three years ago. Yes, I got lucky and found a set of leather that were close enough in color to almost match the interior of my 4.9 Formula and went with it. Just switch out the tracks, easy to do, four bolts on each seat and put the seats in. Sits well and provides just slightly more side support, or maybe I'm just getting fatter. Either way, I like'em.

im pretty sure all 4th gen Firebird seats are the same and all 4th gen Camaro seats are the same (Firebird seats are a little different than Camaro seats). that runs from early 90's all the way up to 02.

Goodness no, those Camaro tracks won't bolt up to the existing studs in your Fiero. If your seats come with the original tracks, remove them, throw them away and install the tracks off of your old Fiero seats. You'll love it when you've accomplished it and sit down in them the first time. Though I would advise using a spacer under the front of the seats tracks to raise the front of the seat. The seats are sculpted slightly differently from your original Fiero seats and IMHO, the front needs to be raised a quarter inch or so. Test it out and do what works for you. While you're in there, check out and retrieve all that change that has been lost for years. Also help to clean up and lube the tracks before re-installing.

I'll let you know later, I'm going to a couple local bone yards to find some seats today and do this. I am sick of these damn seats! I rode my harley all the way out to sturgis this year and I would bet a thousand bucks it was more comfortable on my a$$ than my fiero would have been!!!!

Roger, all I can say is something wasn't right with the install of those seats, I didn' t lose any headroom that I'm aware of. Though I didn't specifically take any measurements, I did have the seats sitting side by side without the tracks and they were so close to being the same it was hard to see a difference.

I have the seats out of a '91 (I think it was a '91) Firebird in my Fiero. Compared to the original seats, they aren't quite as comfortable or supportive and I think they sit a little bit lower. The fit on the sides is a bit tight, too. However, they cost about $500 less than recovering and replacing the foam in my original seats. All in all, it was a good deal and I was very happy with them. They're still pretty nice seats compared to those in the mustang and my ranger.

I installed '96 Firebird seats into my '87 GT before I sold it so I could keep my Mr. Mikes Fiero seats. I drove it around for about two weeks like that and they felt just as comfy as the Mr. Mikes leathers, and more comfy than the stock ripped seats in my 86 GT. I didn't lose any headroom, as I reused the Fiero tracks. Everything fit perfectly like that. Very easy swap.

Keep looking, a good set will turn up every now and then, they were very popular cars. I got these for $32 each, they only needed a good thorough cleaning.

I pulled the seats out of my '98 Camaro and put 'em in the Fiero using the Fiero rails (put race seats/5-pt in the Camaro). Fit fine, ride fine. I'm 6' tall and the seats are perfect. They're a lot better than the 20+ year old Fiero seats that I have...

Thanks for the link - will have to check it out Did you get covers from them? Any pictures?

The console is a 4th gen firebird (along with the dash) - goes along with the seats. You can find some pictures in this thread - there are some about 1/2 ways down - some on the page befoe, some after https://www.fiero.nl/forum/F.../HTML/023174-21.html
