ive been trying to get spark for about a week now on my 86 duke. i recently replaced the secondary ignition coil and re-wired the two plugs that go into the secondary, now ive done the wiring properly ive had it checked over by my auto teacher and we're in the process of trying to figure out why it has no spark now. we are thinking its the primary ignition coil. what are some signs of a bad primary?? also the distributor cap was replaced before i bought the car and it has new plugs and wires.

The one time I ran across a bad coil it was only slightly out of tolerance but it was the problem. The bottom left diagram has the coil test with an ohmmeter:
