I am getting ready to start sanding my front fascia for painting. Can I use lacquer primer or do I need to use some special two part stuff? I have Acrylic Urethane Enamel for top coat. I have heard both ways to do it.

Do NOT use laquer primer! Unless of course if you don't care if the paint cracks & peels off. Use *epoxy* primer: I like Ditzler/PPG. Sand the fascia with 400 or 320 wet, shoot the primer, & if everything is smooth shoot the paint after 30 minites. Couldn't be eaiser. If you get runs or trash in the epoxy, you'll need to let it dry for a day or two & sand them smooth before painting. Follow manufacturer's recomendations.

China scorecard:
1) Bolts not up to grade. The *aircraft* industry had several failures because they were marked a higher grade than they were. They no longer use imported bolts.
2) Poison pet food.
3) Poison pet food - again.
4) Tires that blow out.
5) Poison toothpaste. Contains the same toxic that's found in anti-freeze.
6) More poison toothpaste. Combined with toothbrushes so that it could be imported as "toothbrushes", to get rid of the poison toothpaste!
7) Toys made of lead. Imported by Mattel.
8) Toys with lead paint & small magnets that can kill children if swallowed. Imported by Fisher Price.
9) Poison pet food - the third time.
10) Poison children's paint sets - sold at Toys R Us.
11) Bugs in candy bars.
12) More (nearly a million recalled) Mattel toys with lead.

That's not right. I think if you check you'll find that primer is for plastic like interior peices, that have never been painted. Get the spec sheet from the place you bought the primer. Best to use epoxy on the wing too (as well as all the other exterior panels).

Scientists say we only use 20% of our brains. But if they're only using 20%, how would they know?
