Ok i got a Gentex GNTX-177 Mirror out of 97 Caddy that has Compass and dimming. i know there are 2 models of the GNTX-177 one list that it has temp this one just shows it has Compass and dimming but when it boots up you can clearly see a temp part in the digital display i was wonder dose this have temp and there is just not a button to it (there are pins in the back of the mirror for it (pins 7 and 8) just no wires going to them

Also there was a 2nd box mounted to the windshield with 2 sided tape that was part of the setup (but the mirror works with out that 2nd box pluged in)

Are there any buttons with the little "house" icon on or near them?
Those are homelink buttons. There are usually three of them.

I was reading this on another site "As for the temp, you need to get the temp senser which mounts on the crossbar in front of the radiator ( about 15.00 at the dealer) and the wiring harness which goes from the temp senser to the electrical distribution box on the drivers side inner fender."

I have the temp sencor and a little of the wire what is the "electrical distribution box"
