Welcome to the forum. Here's just one thread on changing out the fuel pump:

https://www.fiero.nl/forum/A...070315-2-077406.html

Do a search and you'll find tons of info on this topic, and other threads with pictures to help. That's what I did before I started the job.

Good luck!

It's not a bad job, and its a very good time to replace your rubber fuel lines.

Get as much gas out of the tank as you can.. tank is pretty heavy with just a 1/4 tank full..... used a floor jack to hold mine......

TIP when time to replace hose a very small amount of vaseline will ease conection,,the large hose for the gas fill is the one that can be pain in buttock if in good shape it is tight this is where vaseline will be more fun than anal sex,it will ease in !!remember to pull hose and wires thru cab firewall a piece of string on the hose and wire will make life easier,,Im trying to remember who it was that forgot to pull these components hmmmmm...if any hose is harden replace with injector hose ,make sure tank strap t bolts do not drop out wonder whos dropped out unobserved into grass and then had to redrop tank hmmmm... they will fallout sometime, you can not install these with out drop tank now is time to clean fuel gauge sending unit car should be high enough to get tank out the first time hmmmmm...to remove finale fuel you can tilt tank and fuel will empty into LARGE container, make large fuel director empty all fuel and check for trash I had plenty ..I use old fuel for lawn mower ,,mower runs poorly now use rag that does not leave lint to clean tank I use cardboard or blanket to provide cusion for tank and jack, connect hose to most difficult conection first.hhmmmm.. stan

Here is another how-to with pics. The hardest part is getting the rubber hoses off.
