It's really tight in there.
You have to get the linkage off the lock.
You then have to pull the metal fork out (toward the front of the car) that goes between the metal brace and the outter skin.
They are realy tight to pull out but they do. I'd grab the clip with a small vise grips and then use something to lever it out.

The lock will pull out from the inside then.

Here is what the assy. should looks like in the door. The clip will be pushed in farther. This is from the pass. door.

The biggest problem is it sets up behind the glass.

If your have the ability you can remove the top stops and get the glass up a little further but you have to put the stops back in the same place.

Fierohoho has good tutorials on removing the inner and outer door panels. I could NOT get the C-clip off on either side without removing the outer panel. And when you do that you have to be careful of the rubberized phillips or torx screws on the outsides of the door skin, they will NOT come off without a fight.

Check my sig for the links mentioned by RWDPLZ.

I found it easier if I clamped a needle nose vise grip to the tab for the clip, gave me a little more leverage to get the clip out, still not easy, I'm not looking forward to doing this on my latest find.
