I知 going to tackle the clutch hydraulic problem on my GT tonight. Last week I had attempted to bench bleed the master but it kept getting air from somewhere(you know that crappy little seal). So I went and bought a new Reybestos master. I have some tools, vacuum pump and a regular hand pump made for reverse bleeding brake and clutch systems.
I知 looking to get some advice on bench bleeding techniques from the other experts here on the forum. I really want to eliminate as may variables as possible. I値l be reading all the clutch articles off the forum trying to glean that last bit of hidden knowledge before I make another attempt at solving this PITA.

Thanks

Rick

Since the clutch master output port is on top of the cyl. if you put fluid in it should run fight thru and come out the output without doing much bench bleeding. As long as you have the out port the highest point and open fluid should run out and you should have most of the air out of the cyl.

Brake masters are different since their ports are usually on the side and air sets in the top of the cyl. so they gain from a bench bleed.

Takes my experience on it anyway...

For my clutch master I hand pumped it slowly until it was coming from the female line connection area. Mine didn't run thru on its own. (Later style cyl)
