I was replacing my tps sensor, got the top screw out, went to do the bottom and the head of the screw just snapped off. The tps came off but now I have the threaded part of the screw (with some sticking out) stuck in the throttle body....
what can I do about this?

The body of the TB is Alum. and the screws like to sieze so you want to soak the threads with PD or WD before you try to remove it. I'd even put a little heat on the part of the screw left (not the TB itself) and then use a pair of vise-grips to break it loose. Don't just try to screw it out but work it back and forth a small amount to see if it starts to move. When it does put on more WD before you start to remove it and work slowly.

Spray some PB blaster or some kind of penetrating oil on the bolt, then take a small hammer and tap on the end of the bolt a few times. Then try to remove it with a pair of vise grips.
Same thing happened to me, I had to remove the whole TBI and take out what was left with needle nose pliers. Buy a new TBI base gasket, and now would be a good time to replace the fuel filter if you haven't recently, and check the vacuum lines.
Thanks for the tips guys! I'll soak it over night and see what I have in terms of needle nose pliers etc. tomorrow... It just chaps my a$$ when this kind of thing happens... I just had my decklid and spoiler repainted and I really want to get out there and show it off but now its stuck in the garage again haha

Very common problem. Usually TPS comes with new screws, use them, coated with anti seize. The one stuck in there should come out with vice grips, mine did. Otherwise you need to take a dremel and grind the end smooth, center punch the end of the broken screw and drill it out.
You think thats hard, wait till you try and take the exhaust manifolds off.........

Or it could be like the ones I just took off my old engine for Chris, where the bolts were basically finger tight. I'm surprised that engine never had an exhaust leak.

I'm temporarily taking the shoddy approach. Whats left of the screw is holding the bottom in place, I put a nice new screw in the top. It doesn't rotate or move as the throttle is applied. It will have to do for the time being because I want to drive the car.
I plan on replacing the throttle body and upper intake manifold anyways.
