Sorry people. I was trying to say the rear pads. I'm helping my Father do a little remodeling, and am beat.

I continually confuse the Fiero with my other cars. Odd why I do, but do.

How much harder is it it to change the rear PADS on a Fiero?

I'm guessing this is a joke???

Either way changing drum brakes isn't that bad. No special tools really needed, although there are some that will help. Just not necessary. Just take a picture of it if you are worried about getting it back together properly.

fieros have discs and pads, not drums. the pads arent hard to swap, remove the wheel, remove the caliper, swap the pads. installation is reverse.

there are some details you must attend to. removing the caliper will require either a t-50 torx or hex bit on your rachet. use some wire to hang the calipers, never hang them by the brake hose. you may need to press the piston back into the caliper bore to get it back on with newer, thicker pads. a 6" c-clamp will work for this.

rear calipers are a little more demanding because of the parking brake. you must rotate them in. most parts stores sell or loan a special tool for this. the single most important tool fro working on your car is a shop manual.

I'm sure someone has tried the swap, but see my corrected post above.

Some people say you have to rotate in the rear calipers, I have never had to do that, so I'm not sure you really have to use that special tool and do it that way.
